This entry is dedicated to the very figure which has christened the name ‘hourglass project’. If you are an hourglass in shape, read on. If you are not an hourglass, you must read on! Well, if you have a generous bust, curvaceous hips and a slimmer waist, then you have the holier-than-thou ‘hourglass shape’. An hourglass shape, contrary to perceptions, is not only about the bust and hips. It is very much also about the fine shoulders and the amazingly slim waist. And the shape is not always textbook hourglass. Also, like in any other shape, not every style fits well on the hourglass shape. The style needs to flaunt the look, the shape and the body. So, here are the tips… Skirts, well they literally define an hourglass shape. And the pencil skirt (the one with a straight, narrow cut) accentuates or rather shapes up the back like nothing else. The pencil skirt may be accompanied with a shirt, tucked in to pronounce your upper torso, and bang…you are in the zone! If you are a denim lady, pick the ones with large back pockets, boot cuts should just work fine. A jacket fitted right above the waist shall serve you well. One particular area that needs to be taken care of is your tummy, if you have one. Try to camouflage tummy with the fall of the garment’s fabric around that area. Well, choose the colors, fabric and accessories that suit you and also make you comfortable. Also, being an hourglass may be compelling to wear tight clothes, but it is highly recommended not to. Clothes should reflect your size, not pull it up. One should rather try going one size up (not loose definitely). All in all, do not get dragged down in all the hype of the shape. Enjoy your body and make sure the garments do justice to it. P.S., if you are not an hourglass, more follows soon! Happy dressing, stay tuned to www.hourglassproject.com for more. Adios…
